Secure Deployment Notice – Testing & Production Requirements

To ensure the highest level of data protection and compliance, our HPM® application is built with strict security measures. As a result, direct installation or testing of HPM® app via Jamf is not possible. However we would like to give you the chance to experience the advantages of HPM® in person.

For productive use in your environment, a local HPM® server instance and an authentication system (e.g. DCS) are required. These components enable secure operation and unlock the full functionality of HPM®.

After these steps have been fulfilled, please follow the instructions listed below:

This guide outlines the steps for deploying the application to supervised iPhones and iPads via Mobile Device Management (MDM).

Prerequisites:

  • Apple Business Manager (ABM) with the “Apps & Books” section enabled
  • MDM environment already linked to ABM
  • iOS devices running version 16 or later (supervision recommended)
  • Organization ID registered: For the app to appear in the corporate catalog, your organization’s ID must be registered in our App Store listing beforehand.

Installation process (summary)

  1. Request an app license: Search for “HPM®” in ABM and assign it to your organization.
  2. Synchronize ABM with the MDM: Refresh the catalog in the MDM console; the app will then appear in the inventory.
  3. Deploy HPM®: Assign it as a “Managed App” to the relevant device or user groups.
    − On supervised devices the installation is silent; otherwise a prompt appears on the device.
    Detailed MDM-specific steps are assumed to be known.

Optional Managed Configuration

  • Download the configuration file from the product page.
  • Upload the file or key-value pairs in the MDM console.
  • Save; the app adopts the settings at the next launch.
